Virginia Tech Pro Day

The finely mustached Victor "Macho" Harris was the prime focus of the Pro Day at Virginia Tech today. He is a versatile corner who can do everything for a team, he may not have the speed, strength and intangibles that some of the first round prospects have but he is a solid player who knows the game, plays hard, is versatile and has a bad to the bone mustache. Here are the results for Macho and his fellow Virginia Tech buds courtesy of NFL.com and woefully un-mustached Gil Brandt.

CB Victor ‘Macho’ Harris (5-foot-11 1/8, 197 pounds) He posted a sensational 4.0 shuttle at the Hokies’ pro day on Thursday. Macho ran a 3.98-second short shuttle at the combine last month that placed him second among all participants. Harris’ other numbers were also solid. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.46 and 4.50 seconds, had a 34" vertical, a 10'1" broad jump and did 13 bench-press reps.

DE/LB Orion Martin (6-2 1/4, 260 pounds) ran a 4.71 and 4.70 in the 40, had a 31 1/2-inch vertical jump, a 9-foot, 1-inch broad jump, a 4.53 short shuttle and a 7.21 three-cone drill.

C Ryan Shuman (6-2 3/4, 289 pounds) ran a 5.17 and 5.22 in the 40, had a 27 1/2-inch vertical jump, an 8-foot, 3-inch broad jump, a 4.50 short shuttle, a 7.34 three-cone drill and did 23 bench press reps.

QB Sean Glennon (6-4 1/8, 220 pounds) ran a 4.82 and 4.85 in the 40, had a 33 1/2-inch vertical jump, a 9-foot, 7-inch broad jump and a 4.56 short shuttle.

Victor is likely a second round selection, especially after Brandon Flowers' success last season as a rookie for the Chiefs. Orion Martin is a mid round selection on day two for a team looking for a developmental talent at 3-4 rush linebacker who can play special teams. The remaining Hokies will likely go undrafted though.
