Florida State Pro Day

26 NFL teams showed up in Tallahassee, Florida to watch 15 players workout at the Florida State Pro Day and no one drew a bigger crowd then the electric defensive end potential outside linebacker hybrid Everette Brown.

Everette Brown measured in at just a hair under 6'2" and tipped the scales at 256 pounds. In terms of what he did at the Pro Day he had a 31" vertical leap and a 9'9" broad jump, aside from that he stood on what he did at the Combine and then proceeded to do positional drills for scouts at linebacker considering the Miami Dolphins, Jacksonville Jaguars and Philadelphia Eagles linebackers coaches were there to put Brown through his paces.

The one surprise of the Florida State Pro Day was cornerback and kick returner Michael Ray Garvin who measured in at 5'7" and 174 lbs.. Garvin is a track star and he absolutely burned rubber by putting together the fastest forty yard dash times of the season in times of 4.24 and 4.28! Garvin also did a number of other tests since he was not invited to the Combine and he had a 36" vertical leap, a 10'8" broad jump and times of 4.34 seconds in the short shuttle and 6.97 seconds in the three-cone drill. He put himself on the map with his Pro Day work out for sure.

As for the remaining athletes, Gil Brandt gives us the scoop with the following stats for a couple notable players who could hear their name on the NFL Network Draft Coverage.

RB Antone Smith (5-7 7/8, 191 pounds) Ran 4.33 and 4.36 seconds in the 40. He had a 32-inch vertical and a 10-foot, 2-inch broad jump and times of 4.32 seconds in the short shuttle and 6.90 seconds in the three-cone drill. He also threw up 225 31 times.

CB Tony Carter (5-8 3/4, 179 pounds) put up 40 times of 4.42 and 4.41 seconds and had a 39-inch vertical. He had a 10-foot broad jump and times of 4.19 seconds in the short shuttle and 7.18 seconds in the three-cone drill, with 17 repetitions of 225 pounds on the bench press.

WR Greg Carr (6-5 3/8, 217 pounds) had 40 times of 4.58 and 4.65 seconds. He had a 31-inch vertical leap and a 9-foot, 6-inch broad jump and times of 4.40 seconds in the short shuttle and 7.41 seconds in the three-cone drill.
