A bunch of NFL teams were in attendance to watch the Wolfpack Pro Day. The only real athlete of any value is the talented running back Andre Brown who projects to be a solid every down back in the NFL. I feel that he will be this years Matt Forte and that he will get drafted by a team as a compliment and end up becoming the load carrier as he has tough, in-between the tackles running ability, he catches well out of the backfield and he blocks well in the pass game. I feel he is very well rounded and could easily see himself as a sleeper candidate for Offensive ROTY come 2009.
Here are the NC State results courtesy of NFL.com:
RB Andre Brown (6-0, 228 pounds) did positional drills and turned in times of 4.28 in the short shuttle and 7.04 in the three-cone drill, but otherwise stood on his numbers from the combine.
TE Anthony Hill (6-5 1/4, 260 pounds) was measured and weighed but did not participate, choosing instead to hold his numbers from the combine.
DL Antoine Holmes (6-2, 289 pounds) turned in times of 4.86 and 4.83 in the 40-yard dash with a 27 1/2-inch vertical leap and an 8-foot, 1-inch broad jump. He did the short shuttle in 4.71 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.59 seconds, with 32 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press.
