25 reps from 25 NFL teams showed up in San Diego to watch the Aztec Pro Day. This included vaunted Tennessee running back Arian Foster working out for scouts as well, not sure why, but who am I to judge? Anyways, here are the results courtesy of NFL.com:
LB Russell Allen (6-2 3/4, 230) ran a 4.64 and a 4.63 in the 40-yard dash. Allen posted a 33.5-inch vertical jump, 9-foot, 10-inch broad jump, 4.34 short shuttle, 7.21 three-cone drill and 24 bench press reps.
OL Lance Louis (6-2 3/8, 303) drew a lot of attention from scouts interested in his speed. He ran a 4.76 and 4.80 in the 40-yard dash, a 4.71 in the short shuttle and 8.03 in the three-cone drill. Lewis also posted a 30-inch vertical jump, an 8-foot, 8-inch broad jump and 30 bench press lifts.
Tennessee RB Arian Foster (6-1, 224) lives in the San Diego area and took the opportunity to show off his skills in front of scouts. Foster ran a 4.73 and 4.69 in the 40-yard dash, 4.53 in in the short shuttle and 7.09 in the three-cone drill. He also posted a 32-inch vertical jump and a 9-foot, 7-inch broad jump.
University of San Diego WR John Matthews (5-11 3/4, 200) ran a 4.52 and 4.54 in the 40-yard dash and recorded a 32-inch vertical jump.
Linebacker Russell Allen has been getting some looks and could see himself drafted mid-day on the second day of the draft. Arian Foster should get the same stock treatment as well despite not being an Aztec, the remainder will likely be UDFA.
