Southern Mississippi Pro Day

18 NFL teams had members in attendance to watch the Southern Mississippi Pro Day. No big results to be had as both high profile talents TE Shawn Nelson and Gerald McGrath stood on their combine numbers and just did positional work, but both have definitely moved themselves into 1st day consideration. Especially Nelson who could be the Dustin Keller of this years draft, only a better blocker and not as explosive up the field.

Here are the results courtesy of NFL.com:

TE Shawn Nelson (6-4 7/8, 242) did positional workouts and kept all of his numbers from the combine.

OL Ryan McKee (6-6 3/8, 293) ran a 5.03 and a 5.12 in the 40-yard dash. McKee posted a 31-inch vertical jump, a 4.67 in the short shuttle and a 7.50 in the three-cone drill. He did not do any bench press reps due to a shoulder injury.

OLB Gerlad McRath (6-1 3/4, 228) did 21 bench press reps and stood on the rest of his numbers from the combine.
