As expected Ian Johnson sat on most of his numbers from the combine as he was one of the more explosive and speedier backs that ran. However, he did run the short shuttle in 4.24 seconds and the three-cone drill in 6.86 seconds before doing some positional drills while also catching passes out of the backfield to show scouts his versatility as a potential compliment or west coast back.
Here are the remaining prospects and some stats courtesy of NFL analyst Gil Brandt:
WR Vinny Perretta (5-9¼, 186 pounds) He ran a 4.48 and 4.43 in the 40, had a 36-inch vertical jump, a 10-foot, 6-inch broad jump, a 4.09 short shuttle, a 6.63 three-cone drill and put up 14 bench press reps.
WR Jeremy Childs (6-0, 196 pounds). He ran a 4.49 and 4.47 in the 40, had a 4.11 short shuttle and kept the rest of his numbers from the combine.
Neither of the aforementioned Boise State receiver will likely get drafted because of small stature and lack of production but they could definitely see themselves making a practice roster as versatile returners, receivers and special teams gunners.
