UMass Pro Day

Fee-fi-fo-fum, I smell the stats of a moderately attended and highly underwhelming Pro Day! 8 NFL teams were in attendance to watch some former Minutemen work out at the UMass Pro Day. Yet again, no one that rings a bell so here are the stats courtesy of NFL.com once more:

OL Ben Coblyn (6-6 1/2, 304 pounds) ran times of 4.96 and 5.03 seconds in the 40-yard dash and had a 31-inch vertical leap and an 8-foot, 11-inch broad jump. He had a 4.68 time in the short shuttle and a 7.46 time in the three-cone drill, and he did 21 repetitions on the bench press at 225 pounds. His arms measured 35 7/8 inches.

DB Sean Smalls (6-0 1/8, 197 pounds) wasn’t feeling well at the pro day and didn’t want to run, but he eventually was talked into it. He will run again when he feels better, but no date has been set. He had a 4.78 time in his only attempt in the 40, and he also had a 33-inch vertical and a 9-foot, 11-inch broad jump. He had times of 4.18 in the short shuttle and 6.77 in the three-cone drill, and he did 13 reps on the bench press.

Coblyn could see draft potential but unless Smalls kills it in his next workout, he's an UDFA.
